How to use the Google Review Link Generator

  2. Paste it into the box. Add your business name if you want the printable card.

  4. Click "Test the link" once to check it opens your own review box before you share it.

Why a direct review link matters

Most happy customers mean to leave a review and never do. Asking them to "find us on Google and leave a review" adds four or five steps, and each one loses people. A direct link skips all of them: one tap and the star rating box is open.

Reviews are one of the strongest signals in Google's local ranking, next to how relevant and how close your business is. More recent, genuine reviews help you show up in the map pack, and they help the person reading them choose you. Both matter for local SEO.

Where to find your Place ID

Every business on Google Maps has a Place ID, a long code that usually starts with "ChIJ". Google's own Place ID Finder shows it: search for your business name, pick it from the list, and copy the code shown on the map.

If you manage the profile yourself, there is an easier route. Sign in to your Google Business Profile, choose "Ask for reviews" and copy the short link Google gives you. Paste either one here and the tool will make the QR code and card from it.

How to use the link and QR code

  • Send the message to customers on WhatsApp or SMS straight after the job, while it's fresh in their mind.
  • Print the card for your counter, reception desk or delivery bags.
  • Add the link to your email signature, invoices and receipts.
  • Put the QR code on the back of business cards or a table stand.

Stay inside Google's review rules

Ask every customer, not only the ones you expect to be happy. Google's policies don't allow "review gating", where unhappy customers are filtered out first. Don't offer discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews, and never write reviews for your own business. Breaking these rules can get reviews removed or the profile suspended.

Reply to every review, good or bad, within a few days. A calm, specific reply to a bad review often does more for your reputation than another five stars. If you want help running this properly, our review management and Google Business Profile services cover it.

Questions

About the Google Review Link Generator.

Is this Google review link generator free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no limit. The link and QR code are made in your browser, so the details you enter are never sent to us.

Will the QR code stop working?

No. The QR code holds your review link directly, with no redirect through our site, so it keeps working as long as your Google Business Profile exists.

What is a Google Place ID?

It is the unique code Google uses for each business on Google Maps. It usually starts with ChIJ. You can find yours with Google's free Place ID Finder.

Why does the link open Google Maps instead of the review box on my phone?

On some phones with the Google Maps app installed, the link opens the app first. The customer then taps the stars to write a review. On desktop it opens the review box directly.

Can I offer a discount in exchange for a Google review?

No. Google does not allow incentives for reviews, or asking only happy customers. Ask every customer the same way and let them decide.
