Why this option

When it's the right call.

A redesign is a chance to fix what isn't working, but done carelessly it can wipe out your search rankings overnight. We redesign with SEO baked in from the start: keep what performs, improve what doesn't, and never lose your hard-won visibility along the way.

  • Your site looks dated or no longer reflects your business
  • It's slow, hard to update, or not converting
  • You want a refresh without losing rankings
Who it's for

A good fit if…

  • Businesses with an ageing or underperforming site
  • Anyone whose site no longer matches their brand
  • Sites that convert poorly or load slowly
Probably not, if

Maybe look elsewhere if…

  • A few targeted fixes would get you most of the way (we'll say so)
  • You're better served by a fresh build from scratch, not a redesign
What you get

What's included.

  • Audit of what's working and what isn't, before we design anything
  • Modern, on-brand redesign built around your actual content
  • Speed and accessibility improvements built in, not bolted on
  • SEO-safe migration with full URL mapping and redirects
  • Preserved, or improved, rankings and site structure
  • Staging environment so you can review before it goes live
Under the hood

How we actually build it.

The detail that separates a page that ranks and converts from one that just exists.

We audit before we redesign anything

A redesign isn't a blank slate, it's an edit. We start by identifying which pages actually rank, which convert, and which content matters, so the new site keeps what's working instead of accidentally discarding it in the name of a fresh look.

URL mapping and redirects, done properly

Every existing URL is mapped to its new location before launch, with 301 redirects in place for anything that changes. This is the single most common way redesigns lose rankings, skipped or rushed, and search engines simply lose track of pages that used to rank.

Content and metadata preserved, not regenerated from scratch

Titles, descriptions, headings and body content that are already earning rankings get carried across and improved, not replaced wholesale with fresh copy that has to earn its position all over again.

Speed and accessibility built into the new design

A redesign is the natural moment to fix the things a bolt-on plugin can't, image weight, render-blocking assets, colour contrast, keyboard navigation. We build these in from the first design pass rather than patching them in afterward.

Switching over

Migrating from something else?

A site from a previous developer An old template that no longer fits the brand A slow, hard-to-update legacy build

We treat every redesign as a migration project: crawl and document the existing site, design and build the new one on staging, map every URL, set redirects, then switch over and monitor rankings closely for the following weeks to catch anything early.

Avoid these

Common mistakes we don't make.

  • Launching a new design with no redirect plan for changed URLs
  • Rewriting all the content and losing rankings that took years to earn
  • Redesigning purely for looks and ignoring speed and accessibility
  • No staging review before the new site goes live
  • Not monitoring rankings closely in the weeks after launch

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

Not when it's done right. We map old URLs to new, set redirects, preserve your content and metadata, and keep the site indexable throughout, so rankings hold or improve.

Redesign or rebuild?

Sometimes fixing speed and structure gets you most of the way for far less; sometimes a rebuild is right. We audit first and tell you honestly which makes sense for your situation.

How long does a redesign take?

Typically three to six weeks depending on page count and how much content needs revisiting.

Do I need to provide new content?

Not necessarily, we can work with what exists, improving where it helps, or write fresh content if you'd prefer a fuller refresh.

More general questions about working with us are answered on the FAQ page, or just ask us directly.

Thinking about website redesign?

Send us your site or your idea. We'll tell you honestly whether this is the right approach, what it would take, and roughly what it would cost. No pitch deck, no pressure.
