Digital PR

Press release writing and distribution that earns real coverage

We write the announcement and put it on the wire. Honest about what that does, which is reach, pickup and brand corroboration, and not a stack of authority links.

Why this option

When it's the right call.

Press releases are sold in SEO packages as a link product, and as a link product they barely work: wire links are nofollow, and syndicated copies are duplicates of one another. What a release genuinely does is get a real announcement in front of journalists and aggregators, produce indexed brand mentions across news sites, and give you something citable. That is worth money when you have actual news. It is worth nothing when you do not, and we will tell you which you have.

  • You have genuine news: a launch, a hire, an award, an expansion, a partnership
  • You want brand mentions across news and aggregator sites
  • You need something citable for other outreach to point at
  • You want the release written properly rather than by whoever is free
Who it's for

A good fit if…

  • Businesses with real announcements rather than manufactured ones
  • Companies entering a new market, location or product category
  • Brands that have won something, funded something, or hired someone notable
  • Anyone whose outreach would benefit from a citable third-party record
Probably not, if

Maybe look elsewhere if…

  • If you have no actual news, a release will not manufacture any and we will say so
  • If you are buying this expecting dofollow authority links, that is not what it is
  • If you need coverage in a specific named publication, that is targeted digital PR, not a wire
What you get

What's included.

  • An honest assessment of whether what you have is genuinely newsworthy
  • The release written to news structure, not as a disguised advertisement
  • A quote developed with you that a journalist could actually use
  • Distribution through an established wire, chosen for your sector and region
  • Supporting assets prepared: images, boilerplate, contact details
  • A pickup report listing every site that carried it
Under the hood

How we actually build it.

The detail that separates a page that ranks and converts from one that just exists.

What wire links actually are

Google has been explicit for years that links in press releases should be nofollow, and the major wires apply that automatically. Syndicated copies are also near-duplicates of one another, so they are not each counted as an independent endorsement.

We say this before you buy rather than after. The value is real but it is reach, indexed brand mentions and citability, not authority. Any agency selling wire distribution as a link-building tactic is selling the one thing it does not do.

Newsworthiness is the whole variable

Wires distribute almost anything, which is why most releases get carried nowhere that matters. Pickup happens when there is a genuine hook: a first, a number, a name people recognise, a local angle, or a change that affects an identifiable group.

We assess this honestly at the start. If what you have is not news, we would rather redirect the budget than take it for a release that will sit unread on three syndication sites.

Written as news, not as an advert

Journalists discard releases that open with marketing language. The structure that works is unchanged for decades: the whole story in the first sentence, supporting detail in descending order, a quote that says something a person would actually say, and a factual boilerplate.

We write to that structure and cut the adjectives. It reads less exciting than a marketing page, which is exactly why it gets used.

The follow-up is where coverage comes from

A wire drop is the floor, not the ceiling. The releases that produce real coverage are the ones also sent directly to a short list of journalists who cover that beat, with a personal note about why it matters to their readers.

That targeted outreach is where genuine editorial links come from, and it is the digital PR tier of the programme rather than the wire itself.

Avoid these

Common mistakes we don't make.

  • Issuing releases about nothing, on a schedule, because a package includes them
  • Selling wire distribution as a source of dofollow authority links
  • Opening with marketing language that guarantees a journalist stops reading
  • Stuffing keyword-rich anchors into a release, which wires increasingly strip
  • Skipping the targeted journalist outreach that actually produces coverage
  • Counting syndicated copies as separate wins in a report

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Do press release links help SEO?

Not through authority. Wire links are nofollow by policy and the syndicated copies duplicate each other. What helps is the indexed brand mentions, the reach to journalists who may cover you properly, and having a citable third-party record. Sold as a link tactic it disappoints; sold as what it is, it earns its place.

How do I know if I have real news?

We assess it before you commit. The test is whether a journalist covering your sector would find it relevant to their readers without being paid. Launches, expansions, funding, notable hires, awards and genuine firsts usually pass; a new page on your website does not.

Which wire do you use?

It depends on your sector and region, and we pick per release rather than defaulting to whichever is cheapest. Distribution cost is included in the quoted price and we show you where it went.

How many sites will pick it up?

Syndication typically produces dozens of copies automatically, which sounds impressive and largely is not. What matters is genuine pickup by a publication that chose to run it, and that depends on the news, not the wire. We report both separately rather than lumping them together.

How often should we issue releases?

Only when there is something to announce. Regular releases about nothing train journalists to ignore your name, which costs you the one time you have something real.
