WHOIS domain lookup.
Enter a domain to see its public registration record: the registrar, the dates it was created and expires, its status locks and its nameservers. It works with RDAP and WHOIS, so it also covers endings like .pk, .com.pk and .ae that many lookup tools miss.

How to use the WHOIS Domain Lookup
- Enter a domain name, like example.com or example.com.pk.
- We ask the registry that runs that ending, using RDAP or WHOIS.
- Read the registrar, dates, statuses and nameservers.
- Act on anything flagged, such as an expiry date that is close.
What a WHOIS record tells you
- Registrar: the company the domain was registered through, and where it can be renewed or managed.
- Created and expiry dates: how old the domain is, and when it must be renewed.
- Status: locks that stop a domain being transferred or deleted without permission.
- Nameservers: which DNS provider controls where the domain points.
Why you may not see the owner's name
Since privacy rules such as GDPR, most registries hide personal details, and many owners pay for privacy services on top. This tool shows a registrant organisation only when the registry publishes one, and never shows names, emails or phone numbers. To contact an owner, use the contact details on their website, or the registrar's abuse address for reporting a problem.
Why some records have fewer details
Each registry decides what it publishes. PKNIC gives dates and nameservers for .pk domains but no registrar. The .ae registry shows the registrar but no dates. Germany's .de registry gives almost nothing. A missing date here means the registry doesn't publish it, not that something is wrong with the domain.
For a quick answer to one question, use the domain age checker or the domain expiry checker. To see where the domain points, use the DNS lookup.
About the WHOIS Domain Lookup.
What is RDAP?
RDAP is the modern replacement for WHOIS. It gives the same kind of registration data in a structured format. We use it where a registry offers it, and fall back to classic WHOIS where it does not.
Can I find out who owns a domain?
Usually not any more. Most registries hide personal details for privacy. If the owner registered as an organisation and the registry publishes it, we show the organisation name.
Does this work for .pk domains?
Yes. PKNIC publishes creation dates, expiry dates and nameservers for .pk and .com.pk domains, and we show those.
What does clientTransferProhibited mean?
It is a lock set by the registrar that stops the domain being moved to another registrar until the lock is removed. It is normal and a good thing to have.
How current is the data?
It comes straight from the registry, and we keep a copy for up to an hour so that repeat checks don't overload their servers.
