Domain expiry checker.
See the date a domain expires and how many days are left. A forgotten renewal takes your website and email down at the same moment, and someone else can then register the name. Check all your domains at once, up to five at a time.
- Free, no sign-up
- We check public information only. How your data is handled
How to use the domain Expiry Checker
- Enter a domain, or up to five separated by commas.
- We read each expiry date from the registry.
- Domains expiring soonest are listed first, in red when 30 days or fewer remain.
- Renew with the registrar shown, and turn on auto-renew.
What happens when a domain expires
- The website and email usually stop working soon after the date passes.
- A grace period follows, often around 30 days at most registrars, when you can still renew at the normal price. It varies by registrar and ending.
- A redemption period may come next, when getting it back costs much more.
- After that, the domain is released and anyone can register it, including domain resellers and competitors.
How to make sure it never happens
- Turn on auto-renew, and keep the card on file up to date.
- Make sure the account email is one you still read. Renewal notices often go to an old address or a former developer.
- Register the domain in your own business account, not a freelancer's.
- Renew for several years at once if the price is reasonable.
Waiting for a domain to expire?
Popular names are rarely released: owners renew them, or auction houses catch them. Set a reminder for the date, but have a second choice ready. The domain availability checker shows what's free today. While you're checking renewal dates, the SSL checker shows when your security certificate runs out.
About the domain Expiry Checker.
How do I renew my domain?
Log in at the registrar where it is registered. The registrar's name is shown in the results when the registry publishes it. For .pk domains, renew through PKNIC or the company that registered it for you.
What if I don't know who registered my domain?
Run the WHOIS lookup, and search your email for the registrar's name. If a former developer registered it, ask them to transfer it into your own account as soon as possible.
Is there a grace period after expiry?
Most endings have one, but the length varies by registrar and registry. Don't rely on it, since your site and email can go down straight away.
Why is there no expiry date for my domain?
Some registries, such as those for .ae and .de, do not publish it. Your registrar account will show the date.
Can you remind me before it expires?
Not with this free tool. Auto-renew at your registrar is the safest protection, and our care plans include keeping watch on renewals.
