Is it down for everyone, or just me?
Can't open a website? Enter its address and we'll try it from our server. If it loads for us, the problem is probably your connection, browser or DNS. If it doesn't, we'll tell you why: no DNS record, no connection, or a server error.

How to use the is It Down? Website Status Checker
- Enter the website address you're having trouble with.
- We look up its DNS, connect to it and request the page from our server.
- If it's up for us, try the fixes for your own connection listed below.
- If it's down, the result says what failed. Check again in a minute: results are refreshed every 60 seconds.
If the site is up for us but not for you
- Refresh with Ctrl+F5 (Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac), or try a private window.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If it works on one, the problem is that network.
- Restart your router, or flush your DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns on Windows).
- Try a different browser, and turn off extensions such as ad blockers or VPNs.
- Your internet provider or country may block the site. Some sites also block certain countries.
If the site is down for everyone
A DNS failure usually means the domain has expired or its nameservers were changed. A connection failure means the server is off, overloaded or blocking traffic. A 500-range error means the server is running but the website software is failing, often after a plugin or theme update, a full disk or a database problem. A 503 is sometimes a planned maintenance page.
If it's your website
Check your hosting status page and your email for renewal or suspension notices first. If you use WordPress and the site broke after an update, your host can often restore last night's backup. Then put monitoring in place, so next time you hear about it from an alert, not a customer. Our website care plans include that, and a website migration to better hosting solves repeated outages. The domain health checker also catches expiring certificates and DNS problems early.
