Migration

Website migration without downtime, lost data or lost rankings

Move to a new platform or host without losing content, data or rankings. We plan the migration so there's no downtime and no drop in search visibility.

Why this option

When it's the right call.

Migrations scare people for good reason, done badly, they lose content, break links and tank rankings. Done properly, none of that happens. The whole job is careful mapping, redirects and testing so the switch is invisible to visitors and search engines alike.

  • You're changing platform, host or domain
  • You're worried about losing rankings or content
  • You want it done without downtime
Who it's for

A good fit if…

  • Businesses replatforming (e.g. Wix to WordPress)
  • Sites changing host or domain
  • Anyone nervous about the SEO impact of a move
Probably not, if

Maybe look elsewhere if…

  • You're building a brand-new site with no existing content
  • A simple export/import handles it and you're comfortable doing it
What you get

What's included.

  • Full content and URL mapping before anything moves
  • Redirects for every changed URL
  • Content, images and data migrated in full
  • Metadata and structure preserved
  • Post-migration testing across the whole site
  • Ranking monitoring for the weeks after launch
Under the hood

How we actually build it.

The detail that separates a page that ranks and converts from one that just exists.

Mapping before moving, not during

Every existing URL is documented and mapped to its new location before the migration starts. This is the single biggest predictor of whether a migration keeps its rankings, skipped or rushed mapping is how sites silently lose years of SEO equity.

Redirects, tested, not assumed

A redirect plan that looks right on paper can still fail in practice, redirect chains, loops, or rules that don't match real traffic patterns. We test the actual redirect behaviour before and after launch, not just the rule configuration.

Content and data migrated in full, metadata included

Titles, descriptions, structured data and internal linking all carry across, not just the visible page content. Losing metadata quietly is one of the more common causes of a post-migration ranking dip that's hard to trace back to its cause.

Monitoring after launch, because that's when problems surface

We watch crawl activity, indexation and rankings closely in the weeks following a migration, because that's when an overlooked redirect or a missed page actually shows up. Catching it in week one is a quick fix; catching it in month three is a much bigger one.

Switching over

Migrating from something else?

Wix, Squarespace or another closed builder A different host or server A domain change or consolidation

Every migration follows the same discipline regardless of source or destination platform: crawl and document the existing site fully, build the new one, map every URL, set redirects, then switch over during a low-traffic window and monitor closely afterward.

Avoid these

Common mistakes we don't make.

  • Migrating without a full URL inventory first
  • Untested redirects that fail under real traffic patterns
  • Losing metadata or structured data in the move
  • No monitoring in the weeks immediately after launch
  • Migrating during a high-traffic period unnecessarily

Straight talk

When we'd point you elsewhere.

We'd rather lose the sale than sell you the wrong thing.

  • If the move is really about improving design and speed rather than changing platform, a redesign covers that more directly.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

Not with a proper migration. Redirects, preserved URLs where possible, and kept metadata mean rankings carry over. We monitor after the switch to be sure.

Will my site go down?

No, we prepare everything in advance and switch over cleanly during a low-traffic window, so visitors never hit a broken site.

How long does a migration take?

A small site is typically a few days of preparation plus the switch itself; larger or more complex sites can take one to two weeks.

Can you migrate between any two platforms?

In almost all cases, yes, the principles are the same regardless of source or destination; only the technical detail of extraction and import changes.
