NAP consistency checker.
Your business name, address and phone number (NAP) should read the same everywhere. Paste them from your website, Google Business Profile, Facebook and any directories, and the checker compares each one with your main version, ignoring harmless differences like "St" and "Street", and highlighting the ones that matter.

How to use the NAP Consistency Checker
- Enter your main version: the name, address and phone exactly as on your Google Business Profile.
- Add a row for each other listing: your website, Facebook, Bing, directories.
- Read the results: each difference is marked as a problem or just formatting.
- Update the listings that disagree, starting with the biggest platforms.
Why NAP consistency matters
Google checks your business details across the web to decide how far to trust your Google Business Profile. When your website says one phone number, Facebook another and an old directory a third, it's less sure which is right, and less likely to show you in the map pack. Customers who find an old number or address simply go elsewhere.
Inconsistencies creep in naturally: a move to a new shop, a new phone number, a rebrand, or someone adding "Pvt Ltd" on one site and not another.
What counts as a real difference
- A different phone number, or a different city or area: always a problem.
- A different business name, such as "Al Noor Dental" and "Al-Noor Dental Clinic": worth fixing.
- An old address after moving: urgent, because customers will go to the wrong place.
- Formatting only ("Street" and "St", "0300" and "+92 300", capital letters): harmless, but it's tidiest to use one style.
Fixing it
Decide on one official version, ideally the one on your Google Business Profile, and copy it exactly everywhere. Start with the platforms that matter most: Google, your website, Facebook, Apple Maps and Bing. Then work through directories, using our local citation list for Pakistan and the UAE. If there are dozens to fix, our citation building service does it for you.
About the NAP Consistency Checker.
What does NAP stand for?
Name, Address and Phone number: the core details of a local business that should match everywhere it is listed.
Does "Street" vs "St" matter?
Not much. Google understands common abbreviations. The checker treats them as formatting differences, not problems.
Does this tool search the web for my listings?
No. It runs in your browser: you paste the details from each listing and it compares them. Nothing is sent to us.
Which version should be the main one?
The one on your Google Business Profile, as long as it is correct. Copy it exactly to every other listing.
How are phone numbers compared?
They are reduced to digits in international format, so 0300 1234567, 0300-1234567 and +92 300 1234567 all count as the same number.
