Free website SEO checker.
Enter any page and get an SEO score with a plain-English list of what's working and what to fix: titles and descriptions, headings, content, images, links, structured data, server speed, robots.txt and sitemap.
- Free, no sign-up
- We check public information only. How your data is handled
How to use the website SEO Checker
- Enter the address of the page you want to check: your home page, or a page you want to rank.
- We fetch it the way a search engine would, along with your robots.txt and sitemap.
- Read the score, then work through the red items first and the amber ones after.
- Fix, then check again. Results are cached for ten minutes, so wait a little before re-checking.
What the SEO score means
The score is the share of checks the page passes, with half marks for items that work but could be better. It's a quick health reading, not a ranking prediction. A page can score 95 and still rank nowhere if a competitor answers the search better, and a page with a few amber warnings can rank first.
Use it as a to-do list. Red items are problems that can stop a page ranking or being indexed at all. Amber items are improvements. Green items are done.
The checks, in plain English
- Technical: does the page load, use HTTPS, allow indexing, set a canonical, work on mobile and declare its language?
- Content: title and meta description length, one clear H1, subheadings, image alt text, internal links, word count and structured data.
- Social: Open Graph tags, so shared links look right.
- Speed: how fast the server responds, how big the HTML is, and whether compression is on.
- Site files: whether robots.txt exists and doesn't block the page, and whether there's an XML sitemap.
What a one-page checker can't tell you
Some of the biggest ranking factors aren't visible on the page itself: how many quality sites link to you, whether your content beats the pages already ranking, how fast real visitors' phones load the page, and problems that only show up across the whole site, such as duplicate titles or broken internal links.
That's what a full SEO audit is for. For ongoing work, our technical SEO and content SEO services fix what audits find and keep it fixed.
Fix in this order
- Anything that blocks indexing: noindex, robots.txt blocks, error status codes.
- Missing or duplicate titles and H1s.
- Thin content on pages you want to rank.
- Slow server response.
- Structured data, alt text and social tags.
About the website SEO Checker.
Is this SEO checker really free?
Yes, with no sign-up. There is a limit of a few checks per minute so the tool stays fast for everyone.
Why does my score differ from other SEO tools?
Every tool checks different things and weights them differently. Focus on the specific issues listed rather than the number.
Does a high score mean I will rank on page one?
No. It means the page has no obvious on-page problems. Rankings also depend on competition, content quality and links from other websites.
Can it check pages that need a login?
No. It sees only what a search engine sees: public pages without a login.
Why is my server response time slow here but fast for me?
We measure from our server, which may be far from yours, and your browser may have the page cached. A consistently slow result usually points to hosting or missing caching.
