Laravel development for web applications that stay reliable

Robust, secure back-ends and web applications built with Laravel, the PHP framework for software that needs to be reliable and maintainable.

Laravel development, abstract technical illustration
Why this option

When it's the right call.

Laravel is our go-to for serious PHP applications: it's mature, secure, well-documented, and built for maintainability. When you need real back-end logic, authentication, data, integrations, business rules, Laravel does it cleanly, without reinventing solved problems.

  • You need real back-end functionality, not just pages
  • You want a mature, well-supported PHP framework
  • You care about security and maintainability
Who it's for

A good fit if…

  • Web applications and SaaS back-ends
  • Sites with complex data, auth or business logic
  • Teams already invested in PHP
Probably not, if

Maybe look elsewhere if…

  • You need a simple brochure site (WordPress is simpler)
  • A front-end-only build with no back-end is enough
What you get

What's included.

  • Laravel application built to your specific requirements
  • Secure authentication and data handling
  • API and third-party integrations
  • Automated testing for critical paths
  • A maintainable, well-structured codebase
  • Deployment pipeline and documentation
Under the hood

How we actually build it.

The detail that separates a page that ranks and converts from one that just exists.

Why Laravel over a hand-rolled PHP build

Laravel solves the problems every serious PHP application eventually hits, authentication, database migrations, queueing, caching, with mature, well-tested solutions. Building these from scratch just recreates bugs Laravel already fixed years ago.

Structure that outlives the person who wrote it

We follow Laravel's conventions rather than fighting them, clear separation between routes, logic and data, tested critical paths, and code organised the way any Laravel developer would expect. That's what makes a codebase maintainable by someone other than us.

Security handled at the framework level

SQL injection protection, CSRF tokens, secure password hashing, Laravel provides these by default, and we don't bypass them for convenience. Custom authentication and authorisation logic is built on top of these foundations, not around them.

APIs built to be a genuine back-end, not an afterthought

Laravel is a natural choice as an API back-end for a separate front end, a Next.js app, a mobile app, or both. We design the API properly from the start when that's the plan, rather than retrofitting one onto a server-rendered app later.

Switching over

Migrating from something else?

A legacy, unmaintained PHP codebase A different framework outgrown by the team A prototype that needs a production-grade rebuild

Migrating a legacy PHP application to Laravel usually means rebuilding on solid foundations rather than a line-by-line port, we identify what the existing system actually needs to do, then build it properly on Laravel's conventions, migrating data carefully along the way.

Avoid these

Common mistakes we don't make.

  • Fighting Laravel's conventions instead of using them
  • Skipping tests on the parts of the app that matter most
  • Custom authentication logic that bypasses Laravel's built-in protections
  • No caching or queueing strategy for slow operations
  • Treating the API as an afterthought when a separate front end was always the plan
Pricing

Straight talk

When we'd point you elsewhere.

We'd rather lose the sale than sell you the wrong thing.

  • If you mainly need editable content pages rather than application logic, WordPress will get you there faster and cheaper.

    WordPress development

  • If the front end needs to be highly interactive, pairing Laravel's API with a Next.js front end is often the strongest combination.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Why Laravel over WordPress?

WordPress is a CMS; Laravel is a framework for building applications. If you need custom logic, data models and integrations rather than editable pages, Laravel is the right tool.

Can Laravel power an API for a React or mobile app?

Yes, Laravel makes an excellent API back-end for a Next.js front end or a mobile app, and we build it that way when that's the plan.

Is Laravel secure enough for handling payments or sensitive data?

Yes, when built properly, Laravel's built-in protections plus careful handling of sensitive data and third-party payment providers is standard practice for us.

Can you take over an existing Laravel project?

Yes, we review the existing codebase first and give you an honest picture of its condition before taking on ongoing work.

More general questions about working with us are answered on the FAQ page, or just ask us directly.
