Forum link building through genuine participation, not signatures

We answer questions in the communities your buyers actually read, under your brand. Slow, human, and worth doing. Nothing like the bulk profile links sold elsewhere.

Why this option

When it's the right call.

Forum links are sold by the hundred, and links bought that way are worth nothing: profile and signature links are nofollow, ignored, and leave an obvious pattern. But the underlying activity is one of the more valuable things a business can do, because the communities where your buyers compare options are also where a helpful answer gets read for years. So we sell the activity, not the links, and we price it monthly because that is what it actually is.

  • Your customers ask for recommendations in forums, subreddits or trade groups
  • You want visibility where buying decisions are actually discussed
  • You would rather have referral traffic than a spreadsheet of profile URLs
  • You want a presence built under your brand, not an anonymous account
Who it's for

A good fit if…

  • Businesses in sectors with active communities: trades, software, hobbies, B2B niches
  • Brands with genuine expertise that can be demonstrated in an answer
  • Companies whose buyers research heavily before enquiring
  • Anyone who has watched a competitor get recommended in a thread and wanted in
Probably not, if

Maybe look elsewhere if…

  • If you want volume, this is the wrong page, and the volume version is worthless anyway
  • If nobody discusses your sector publicly, we will tell you rather than invent activity
  • If you cannot supply expertise and will not let us ask you questions, the answers will be thin
What you get

What's included.

  • Research into where your buyers genuinely discuss your category
  • Accounts established under your brand, with complete, honest profiles
  • Substantive answers to real questions, written to be useful on their own
  • Disclosure of affiliation wherever a community expects it
  • Links included only where they genuinely help the person asking
  • Monthly reporting of threads, replies and the traffic they sent
Under the hood

How we actually build it.

The detail that separates a page that ranks and converts from one that just exists.

The link is the least valuable part

Forum links are nofollow or ugc almost without exception, so they pass no PageRank. If the link were the point, this service would not be worth buying, and the companies selling it by the thousand are selling something worthless.

What is worth buying is presence: a useful answer in a thread that ranks for a question your buyers ask keeps sending qualified people for years. We measure this in referral traffic and enquiries, not link counts.

Communities punish self-promotion, so we do not do it

Every worthwhile community can spot a marketing account immediately, and the penalty is a ban that also burns the brand name. So the ratio matters: most contributions include no link at all, and affiliation is stated openly wherever the norms expect it.

This is slower and produces fewer links than any bulk alternative. It is also the only version that does not risk your brand being publicly called out, which is a real cost the cheap version never prices in.

Choosing the rooms carefully

We look for communities that are active, indexed, and actually read by buyers rather than by other marketers. A trade forum with a few hundred engaged members is usually worth more than a large general one where every thread is other agencies posting.

You approve the list before we post anywhere. Your brand is going on these accounts, so you should know where.

Written from your knowledge, not around it

A good answer requires knowing the subject. We interview you briefly at the start and come back with questions as they arise, rather than producing generic advice that any reader in the field would recognise as filler.

Where we do not know enough to answer well, we do not answer. A thin reply attached to your brand does more harm than staying out of the thread.

Avoid these

Common mistakes we don't make.

  • Buying bulk profile and signature links, which are nofollow, ignored and patterned
  • Dropping a link into every reply until the account is banned
  • Hiding the commercial affiliation in communities that require disclosure
  • Posting generic advice that anyone in the field can see is filler
  • Reviving dead threads purely to place a link
  • Measuring the work in link counts rather than referrals and enquiries

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Aren't forum links worthless?

Bought profile and signature links are, completely. They are nofollow, ignored, and leave a pattern. Genuine participation is a different activity that happens to produce some links: its value is that a useful answer in a thread that ranks keeps sending qualified readers for years. We sell the second thing and are upfront that the links themselves carry no authority.

Will you disclose that you work for us?

Yes, wherever the community expects it, and often where it does not. Undisclosed marketing is what gets brands banned and screenshotted, and the downside of that is far larger than any upside from hiding it.

How many posts do I get a month?

Fewer than a volume seller would promise. The ongoing package typically produces eight to twelve substantive contributions, because a good answer takes research. We would rather deliver eight worth reading than fifty that get us banned.

What if my sector has no forums?

Some do not, and we will tell you after the research stage rather than manufacturing activity to justify a retainer. In that case the money is better spent on content answering the same questions on your own site.

Can you use my staff's name instead of the brand?

Yes, and it often works better, provided the affiliation is still stated. A named person with real expertise reads more credibly than a company account.

More general questions about working with us are answered on the FAQ page, or just ask us directly.

Thinking about forum link building?

Send us your site or your idea. We'll tell you honestly whether this is the right approach, what it would take, and roughly what it would cost. No pitch deck, no pressure.
